4/9/2025 1 Comment Influencer Who Gifted Trump a Rolex Says He’s Lost Over $10 Million Since Tariffs Were Imposed by the PresidentInfluencer Adin Ross has opened up about how severely his finances have been impacted by the tariffs imposed by Donald Trump.
On April 2, Trump dubbed the day "Liberation Day" for the U.S., announcing a new wave of tariffs on numerous countries in an effort to revive American manufacturing. Some believe Trump is playing a risky game, with one social media user likening his strategy to a calculated "chess move" aimed at deliberately disrupting the market. Ross, who last year hosted a livestream on Kick.com's "Just Chatting" channel with Trump as a guest, famously gave the former president lavish gifts, including a gold Rolex. In hindsight, Ross might’ve been better off holding onto his money. Those same tariffs now appear to be hitting his finances hard. In a recent stream titled DJ Akademiks Comes on Adin Ross' Stream!, Ross vented about the turbulent state of the stock market, calling it “really bad” and wondering aloud if the country was heading into a recession. DJ Akademiks chimed in, saying he thinks Trump is playing a “dangerous game of chicken,” and speculated that Trump might pause the tariffs soon to negotiate — but until then, ordinary people are feeling the impact. And that, apparently, includes Ross. Despite his earlier generosity toward Trump, Ross hasn’t been spared. “We all are [affected], bro. Holy f**k it’s so bad,” he said. He went on to reveal he’s lost at least eight figures — more than $10 million — since the tariffs were enforced. “It’s bad, I’m not gonna lie to you bro. But it’ll get better,” he added, trying to remain optimistic. Financial experts, however, are sounding alarms that the new tariffs could ripple through the economy and potentially erode the life savings of many Americans. Ross, clearly among those feeling the sting — and that’s putting it mildly — has become the center of online commentary. One Reddit user remarked, “Influencer who bought Trump a Rolex... is probably the shortest and most accurate sentence that sums up the insane stupidity of this era.” Another quipped, “I love karma like this. Who doesn’t?” After all, the brain doesn’t finish developing until around age 25 — just saying.
